websites

During my time at UCLA, one of our key focuses was learning how to code and use HTML. I’ve gained experience by creating several websites. Here are a few examples of the websites I’ve worked on.

Memories from Guanajuato:

This website serves as a digital memory keeper of all the times I've visited Guanajuato, Mexico, my mother's birthplace. It’s one of my favorite places in the world, and I’ve been visiting it since I was young. The memories I’ve made there are so special that I wanted to share them with everyone.

High Fidelity:

For this project, we were tasked with manipulating text in a visually engaging way using HTML, drawing inspiration from a publication. I chose one of my favorite books, High Fidelity by Nick Hornby. The book frequently explores the concept of top 5 music lists, so I decided to create a website where I paired my top 5 favorite quotes from the book with songs that match those quotes, using the lyrics as the content for my HTML design.

The Archive:

The concept for this project was to create a portfolio or showcase a collection of some sort. Since I already have a portfolio, I decided to make a website that showcases record collections. As a record collector, I love sharing my collection, record finds, and overall passion for music. Unfortunately, there aren’t many websites dedicated to this, with Discogs being the most popular—yet it’s a rather plain site with little personality. I wanted to mock up a fun website that could be customizable to the user’s taste.
