In Mexican culture, skeletons hold profound symbolism, representing not only the cycle of life and death but also the enduring connection to our ancestors. Rooted in traditions such as Day of the Dead, they embody a celebration of heritage and a deep reverence for those who came before us. As an artist, I've always been drawn to the iconic imagery of skeletons, viewing them as powerful symbols of resilience and cultural pride. Through my art, I strive to honor my Mexican-American identity and pay tribute to my culture through the tradition of Mexican folk art.

Family has always been at the heart of my upbringing, instilling in me the belief that family is everything and that their love and support are unwavering. In celebrating life and heritage, I aim to capture the joy and happiness found in the embrace of family.

This piece is dedicated to first-generation Latinx students and immigrant parents who sacrifice everything to provide a better future for their children.

For mom and dad, Thank you for everything. I Love you.

Para mamá y papá, Gracias por todo. Los amo.
